  1. I was very impressed with the many uses of polymorph plastic when I bought it but when I saw this product – the colour additive , it was just the icing on the cake.
The colour is supplied in a powder form. – you add a a small amount of colour to the heated plastic and “fold” it into the mixture until the colour is absorbed. – You need a very small amount to tint the finished plastic, – I can see this package lasting me a very long time indeed.

    A tip…
I found that by using an old plastic bag I could contain any “Mess” , – I put the powder into the bag, then add the warmed and pliable plastic then knead it through the plastic until the powder is absorbed. -it keeps it off your fingers and contains any extra powder , which you can then retain for further use.

The only thing you have to watch for is the “wet” effect, – like powder paint , which appears lighter when dry, this colouring appears slightly darker when mixed into the plastic.

I can totally recommend this stuff – it does the job well.

  2. This item exactly as described and does what is says on the tin! Very reasonable delivery time. Would recommend to others and purchase again in future.

  3. Bought it as a gift for my son who has used it and the mouldable plastic at school. He is impressed with it.

  4. I’m loving using it so far. The powder is very fine so you need to be super careful when weighing it out. The only reason I’ve not given it a 5 is because it says that it comes with 8 colour packets and mine arrived with just 7 – the black was missing.

  5. It is really easy to use but my children could mix the colours up and waste the product need adult supervision for don’t use too much the powder.

  6. These pigments are a wonderful addition to the fantastic plastic brand. What is great about them is that they produce vibrant colours when used with the plastic, but even more, you can mix them together (if you’re brave enough 😉 Or only add a little for a more subtle colour effect.

They come as powder in little sachets and I was really surprised with how small the box they came in was. Also to note, I’m slightly confused about one pigment…which I think is light blue, but it looks completely white, (I haven’t tried it yet but I’ll see if it is at a later date)

If it is white, it would be odd because the plastic itself is white when it hardens. Otherwise it’s fine. I’d still recommend this if this is the case.

    UPDATE:

The powder I thought was light blue is in fact white. Slightly confusing…though, this white could be used to lighten the darker blue and other colours, I think that’s the logic behind that. To me at least, it does look like light blue on the photograph on the box which is slightly misleading. Dispite this, I’m still satisfied.

I would say to that this light blue needs to be changed on the box to white…just for clarity, or that they mention something about the white pigment in the description.

  7. Great fun .Grandchildren loved it

  8. Great fun stuff.Easy to use and re-use. Made a grasp to go on the end of a pull cord very quickly, painted it and it works a treat. Orininally bought to make items for train set layout which I still have yet to do. Would recommend not only for its various uses but for the enjoyment of making things.

  11. I have now had the opportunity to use this plastic moulding and I am really impressed. I thought I would start by making some new handles for some of my old woodworking/ metal files. I had a look at the tutorials and followed the simple instructions. I was pleased with the results and I now have new handles which seem to be perfectly sturdy and longlasting. The plastic pellets went clear when I added the to the heated water and then reverted back to opaque white when cooled. I can see that this mouldable plastic has many other useful applications for repairs around the home. Because you can mould it and work it into many shapes and thicknesses I would imagine it could be used to make things instead of buying them which would be a great money saver. You can reheat it if you dont like what you have made and make something else. Also you can reheat any excess pieces so there is no waste.I dont think this is a very well known product but I think it will soon catch on. I have to say that I would buy again and recommend to my friends. The Fantastic Plastic arrived very quickly which was a nice surprise.

  12. Used to mold myself some cupped armrest for my wheelchair, very strong when cool; as long as I don’t go to death valley I should be fine 🙂

  13. I bought the 500g tub, the product works as described, melting easily in near boiling water. Its re melt-able and easy to form. Great stuff.

  14. First time i used this product i loved it. Very easy to use and great for arts and craft projects.

  15. have used once to put a better handle on a knife I have, its now shaped to the contours of my hand and far more comfortable to handle no mess, no fuss and still have 90% of the product to play around with 🙂

  16. Handy to have around the house or garage, very adaptable for that job that you want to do but cannot find the right material, we have all done it. Thousands of uses, fills, moulds, shapes, and safe to use. A must for evryone
